Planetary health

Climate change describes the man-made climatic changes that started during industrialization with increased greenhouse gas emissions. It is manifested in an increased global mean temperature and increased extreme weather events. We now know that human health is also directly and indirectly affected by these changes. All of this falls under the research area called "Planetary Health".
