Medical device

According to the Federal Ministry of Health, medical devices are defined as "products with a medical purpose, which are intended by the manufacturer for human use". All regulations are laid down in the German Medical Devices Act (MPG). The same rules apply for digital health apps as for analog or hybrid medical devices. For consumers, this means a high level of safety and reliability, but there are some limitations with regard to user experience.
