Contact tracing

In the context of infections, contact tracing is the identification of anyone who has come in contact with a sick or infectious person. Contact tracing is an active search for additional cases or individuals who could potentially pass on the disease. In particular, contact tracing helps during an epidemic or pandemic to slow down or contain the spread of a disease.
